The Eastern Mediterranean Health Genomics and Biotechnology Network (EMGEN) has established a joint grant in 2013 to support research in Islamic Countries in health biotechnology and genomics.
It is notable that the date of October 1, 2013 has been determined as the deadline for submission of "letter of intent" including an one-page summary of the project plus the name of research PIs and name of countries and University/ Institutes involved (the format is available in the attached document).
Please kindly note that only collaborative proposals are accepted in which one of the partner should be an Iranian institutes defined as principle investigator. EMGEN grant is to cover 50 percent of total budget 100,000,000 Rials (max) to Iranian partner and rest of 50 percent should be arranged by collaborating institute) this grant in which investigators from two or more different institutions of minimum two countries of Islamic Countries collaborate on a unified research topic related to health genomics and health biotechnology areas. However, the presence of researchers and/or companies from non-Islamic countries, e.g., from Europe, as the third partner, is welcome.
